Kathy has been through extensive training, involving a minimum of 1000 hours of study as well as hands on practice over a 3 year period followed by a rigorous assessment in order to obtain a diploma and practising certificate.

She is one of the most experienced Shiatsu practitioners in Northern Ireland.

Each treatment is unique to you, according to your needs, so you can recover your vitality, ease and calm. Shiatsu is given with the client fully dressed and placed on a massage table or specialist massage chair.

I work holistically within the structure of both Zen and Classical Shiatsu frameworks. That means while you may come to me with either a physical,  emotional, psychological or spiritual issue, your entire system will benefit from a treatment with me. For example, a client may present with a physical ailment but may later find that the ailment emanated from a different source, both of which will have been assisted by the treatment.

You can expect a lovely treatment which is rhythmic, restorative and rejuvenating.

My style of shiatsu is quiet and meditative and healing. The concepts of Yin and Yang pertain and are contained within the Taijitu symbol illustrating balance.

My special interests are many and various and apart from bodywork, they include: working with nervous system reset, anxiety/depression/mental health, addictions, trauma/PTSD dysregulation, bereavement, any issues arising from neurodivergence.

I have been a student of Shiatsu for 35 years. I was working in a corporate career for many years alongside Shiatsu and I gave up my employment a few years ago to concentrate on my Shiatsu healing practice.

I am a mother of two adult children and a grandmother of one newborn child.

My personal interests include painting, art history and theory, music, good food, tai chi and qi gong.
