Our Belfast massage clinic is located on the Ormeau Road, close to Belfast city centre and easily accessible from South Belfast and the surrounding area.

How massage therapy can help

Muscles can become tense or uncomfortable because of physical activity, repetitive movements, prolonged sitting, stress or the everyday demands placed on the body. Massage uses a range of hands-on techniques to work with the muscles and surrounding soft tissues.

Depending on the approach used, massage may help to:

  • ease muscular tension and stiffness
  • support flexibility and comfortable movement
  • soothe tired muscles after exercise
  • promote relaxation and reduce everyday stress
  • support recovery from physical activity
  • improve awareness of where you hold tension
  • provide a greater sense of physical and emotional wellbeing

Some people book massage because of a particular area of discomfort, while others use it regularly to help manage tension and create time for rest and recovery.

Massage tailored to you

There is no single massage technique that is right for everyone. Before your treatment, your therapist will ask about your health, activity levels, areas of tension and what you would like from the session.

Your massage can then be adapted in terms of pressure, pace and the areas treated. It may focus on one part of the body, such as the back, neck and shoulders, or provide a more complete full-body experience.

You can communicate with your therapist throughout the session. If you would like more or less pressure, or want the therapist to avoid a particular area, please let them know.

Types of massage available

Our therapists offer a range of massage treatments in Belfast, including:

Therapeutic and deep-tissue massage

A more focused massage for people experiencing muscular tightness or stiffness. Pressure is adjusted to your comfort rather than being unnecessarily intense.

Sports massage

Massage tailored to active people, including runners, cyclists and footballers. It can be used as part of your recovery routine or to focus on muscles affected by training and repetitive movement.

Relaxation and stress-relief massage

A gentler, flowing treatment intended to calm the body and provide space to switch off. This may be especially helpful during busy or stressful periods.

Back, neck and shoulder massage

A focused treatment for common areas of tension, particularly for people who spend long periods sitting, driving or working at a computer.

Pregnancy massage

A carefully adapted massage designed to provide comfort and relaxation during pregnancy. Please tell us how many weeks pregnant you are when booking so we can confirm suitability and arrange the session appropriately.

Lymphatic drainage massage

A light, specialised technique used to encourage lymphatic flow and help manage fluid build-up. If you are considering lymphatic drainage following surgery or medical treatment, please obtain approval from your surgeon or healthcare professional before booking.

Indian head massage

Indian head massage focuses on areas such as the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. Sound massage uses therapeutic singing bowls alongside relaxation techniques to create an immersive and calming experience.

Not every treatment is provided by both therapists, so our reception team can help you choose the most appropriate appointment.

What happens during a massage?

Your appointment begins with a short consultation. Your therapist will ask about your health, any pain or injuries and the result you would like from the treatment.

Depending on the massage selected, you may be asked to remove some clothing. You will be appropriately covered with towels throughout, with only the area being treated uncovered. Your comfort, privacy and consent remain central to the session.

Afterwards, you may feel relaxed, refreshed or more aware of the areas that were holding tension. Some people experience temporary tenderness following deeper work. Drinking water and allowing time to rest can help you settle after your treatment.

Is massage suitable for everyone?

Massage is suitable for many people, but please tell us about medical conditions, recent surgery, pregnancy, injuries or medication when booking.

Massage may need to be adapted or postponed if you have a fever, infection, unexplained swelling, a recent injury or another condition requiring medical assessment. Our team can advise whether medical approval is recommended before treatment.
